1988 JAGUAR XJ-S 5.3 V12 – ORIGINAL ITALIAN REGISTRATION

This beautiful Jaguar XJ-SC V12 was manufactured in 1988 and first registered in Italy on May 9, 1989. It still retains its original Bologna license plates.

This is the rare Cabriolet version, produced in limited numbers combining styling with an electrically operated rear soft top.

The car has had only two owners up to 2023, when it was acquired by a collector in Brescia who is now selling it due to lack of use. It is not a re-imported vehicle: it has been in Italy since new.

The American-style twin round headlights were fitted at the request of the first owner, who preferred them to the standard European units.

Under the bonnet lies Jaguar’s legendary 5.3-litre V12 engine, a smooth and refined all-aluminium powerhouse delivering around 295 hp, coupled with automatic transmission.

It offers the relaxed performance and effortless cruising expected from a grand tourer of its class.

The color combination is particularly elegant: metallic gunmetal grey bodywork with beige leather interior, beautifully complemented by walnut wood trim.

In 2009, the car received its ASI certification (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) as a vehicle of historical interest, registration no. 274801.

The car is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, thanks to careful maintenance. Recently completed work includes:

Replacement of all 4 tyres with Vredestein Sprint Classic (€1,700 value)
Rear brake caliper overhaul
Full interior detailing
General mechanical inspection
Main features:

power-operated rear soft top
Air conditioning system
Original Jaguar alloy wheels
Working period-correct radio
Original leather and walnut wood interior
A rare, elegant and increasingly collectible classic – perfect for those who seek a vintage Jaguar with performance, pedigree and unmistakable Italian provenance.
