HISTORIE/DOCUMENTATIE
Deze zeer fraai uitgevoerde Porsche is geregistreerd op 19 mei 2008 door Porsche Zentrum Niederbayern in Plattling, Duitsland. Op 30 september 2008 is hij geleverd aan de eerste Nederlandse eigenaar. In 2013 is hij in bezit gekomen van de tweede en huidige eigenaar, die de auto met passie en zorg heeft behandelend en onderhouden. Onderhoud is uitgevoerd bij de Porsche dealer en specialist. De kilometerstand bedraagt slechts 47.303 km. Alle documentatie en boekjes zijn zorgvuldig bewaard gebleven waaronder onderhoudshistorie, het aflever-/garantieboekje en originele handleidingen (zowel Duits- als Nederlandstalig. Deze zijn keurig opgeborgen in de zwart lederen boordmap. Ook checklists, APK-formulieren en twee sleutels zijn bij de auto aanwezig. Aan de staat is te zien dat de auto slechts gebruikt is voor plezierritten.
EXTERIEUR
De Porsche is standaard geleverd in een zeldzame, onderscheidende en zeer fraaie samenstelling: de smaakvolle kleur Ruby Red Metallic (Rubinrot Metallic, kleurcode L8A7). Deze kleur had destijds een meerprijs, evenals de 19" Carrera S velgen die beter bekend staan als 911-velgen. De velgen zijn voorzien van Michelin Pilot Sport banden rondom. De optische staat is goed met slechts lichte gebruikerssporen, maar zonder noemenswaardige beschadigingen. De auto verkeert in een originele en schadevrije staat en heeft geen last van steenslag. De verlichting is en de ruiten zijn nog fris en de zwarte cabrioletkap verkeert nog in goede staat zonder lelijke vouw- of slijtageplekken. De glazen achterruit is voorzien van verwarming. De rollbar is origineel gespoten in de carrosseriekleur. Aan de achterzijde is een elektrisch bedienbare spoiler aanwezig.
INTERIEUR
Het interieur is uitgevoerd in zwart en verkeert nog in een nette staat. Aan opties is niet bezuinigd en hierdoor biedt de Porsche veel comfort. Denk aan een BOSE audiosysteem met CD-wisselaar, navigatiesysteem, climat control, stoelverwarming en lederen sportstoelen die zijn voorzien van het Porsche-logo in de hoofdsteunen. De keurige Porsche vloerbekleding is nog aanwezig en verkeert in goede staat. Ook de geïntegreerde Porsche-paraplu is nog verborgen aan de bijrijderszijde. Het driespaaks sportstuur is afgewerkt met aluminium. De cabrioletkap is elektrisch bedienbaar en functioneert naar behoren. Dankzij de middenmotor beschikt de auto over relatief veel bagageruimte aan zowel de voor- als de achterzijde. Ook deze kofferruimtes zijn keurig.

TECHNISH
De Porsche is door de jaren heen uitstekend onderhouden door Porsche Centrum Groningen en een Porsche specialist. Vrijwel elk jaar is een onderhoudsbeurt uitgevoerd. Dit onderhoud is goed gedocumenteerd in het afgestempelde boekje en in de onderhoudsfacturen. De laatste onderhoudsbeurt is uitgevoerd in 2025 bij een kilometerstand van 46.671 km. De 2.687 cc 6-cilinder boxermotor is in het midden van de auto geplaatst, wat zorgt voor een uitstekende gewichtsverdeling. Deze motor levert 245 pk en brengt de auto in 6,2 seconden naar 100 km/u. De auto rijdt, schakelt en remt goed.
ALGEMEEN
De Porsche 987 is de interne modelaanduiding voor de tweede generatie van de Porsche Boxster. Dit model werd voor het eerst gepresenteerd tijdens de Paris Motor Show 2004, samen met de Porsche 911 (997), en kwam in 2005 op de markt.
In datzelfde jaar werd het gamma uitgebreid met de Porsche Cayman, een fastback coupé die gebaseerd was op hetzelfde middenmotorplatform als de Boxster. Beide modellen deelden veel componenten, waaronder carrosseriedelen zoals de portieren, koplampen en delen van het interieur. In 2012 werd de 987-generatie opgevolgd door de Porsche 981.
De eerste uitvoering van deze generatie, de Boxster 987.1, bouwde voort op zijn voorganger (de 986), maar kreeg een aantal duidelijke visuele en technische verbeteringen. Een van de meest opvallende veranderingen was het ontwerp van de koplampen, dat sterk geïnspireerd was op de Porsche Carrera GT. Daarnaast werden de luchtinlaten aan de zijkanten groter en voorzien van opvallende horizontale lamellen in metallic zilver. Ook de wielkasten werden vergroot, waardoor velgen tot 19 inch mogelijk werden — een primeur voor de Boxster.
Het interieur kreeg een modernere uitstraling met een sterker doorgevoerd rond design, zichtbaar in onder andere het instrumentenpaneel en de ventilatieroosters. Volgens Porsche werd ongeveer 80% van de onderdelen vernieuwd ten opzichte van de vorige generatie, wat de 987 technisch aanzienlijk verbeterde. Op motorisch vlak beschikte de standaard Boxster over een 2,7-liter zescilinder boxermotor met een vermogen van circa 236 pk. De krachtigere Boxster S kreeg een 3,2-liter motor met ongeveer 276 pk. Voor modeljaar 2007 werd de basisversie verder verbeterd met het variabele kleptimingsysteem VarioCam Plus, wat resulteerde in een lichte vermogensstijging tot ongeveer 245 pk.
De Porsche 987 staat bekend als een belangrijke evolutie binnen de Boxster-reeks, waarbij het model zowel qua prestaties als kwaliteit een duidelijke stap vooruit zette, terwijl het karakter van een lichtgewicht, gebalanceerde roadster behouden bleef.

HISTORY/DOCUMENTATION
This beautifully finished Porsche was registered on 19 May 2008 by Porsche Zentrum Niederbayern in Plattling, Germany. On 30 September 2008, it was delivered to its first Dutch owner. In 2013, it came into the possession of the second and current owner, who has treated and maintained the car with passion and care. Servicing has been carried out at the Porsche dealer and specialist. The mileage is just 47,303 km. All documentation and booklets have been carefully preserved, including the service history, the delivery/warranty booklet and original manuals (in both German and Dutch). These are neatly stored in the black leather dashboard folder. Checklists, MOT forms and two keys are also included with the car. The condition of the car shows that it has only been used for leisure drives.
EXTERIOR
The Porsche was originally delivered in a rare, distinctive and very attractive combination: the tasteful Ruby Red Metallic (Rubinrot Metallic, colour code L8A7). This colour carried an additional charge at the time, as did the 19-inch Carrera S wheels, better known as 911 wheels. The wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all round. The exterior is in good condition with only slight signs of wear, but no significant damage. The car is in its original, accident-free condition and shows no signs of stone chips. The lights and windows are still fresh, and the black soft top is still in good condition with no unsightly creases or signs of wear. The rear window is heated. The roll bar is originally painted in the body colour. An electrically operated spoiler is fitted at the rear.
INTERIOR
The interior is finished in black and remains in a neat condition. No corners have been cut on the options, ensuring the Porsche offers a high level of comfort. Features include a BOSE audio system with CD changer, navigation system, climate control, heated seats and leather sports seats bearing the Porsche logo in the headrests. The neat Porsche floor mats are still in place and are in good condition. The integrated Porsche umbrella is also still tucked away on the passenger side. The three-spoke sports steering wheel is finished in aluminium. The convertible top is electrically operated and functions properly. Thanks to the mid-engine layout, the car has a relatively large amount of luggage space at both the front and rear. These boot areas are also in good condition.

TECHNICAL
Over the years, the Porsche has been excellently maintained by Porsche Centre Groningen and a Porsche specialist. A service has been carried out almost every year. This maintenance is well documented in the stamped service booklet and in the service invoices. The last service was carried out in 2025 at a mileage of 46,671 km. The 2,687 cc 6-cylinder boxer engine is positioned in the centre of the car, ensuring excellent weight distribution. This engine delivers 245 hp and accelerates the car to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. The car drives, changes gear and brakes well.
GENERAL
The Porsche 987 is the internal model designation for the second generation of the Porsche Boxster. This model was first unveiled at the 2004 Paris Motor Show, alongside the Porsche 911 (997), and went on sale in 2005.
In the same year, the range was expanded with the Porsche Cayman, a fastback coupé based on the same mid-engine platform as the Boxster. Both models shared many components, including body parts such as the doors, headlights and parts of the interior. In 2012, the 987 generation was succeeded by the Porsche 981.
The first version of this generation, the Boxster 987.1, built on its predecessor (the 986) but received a number of clear visual and technical improvements. One of the most striking changes was the design of the headlights, which was heavily inspired by the Porsche Carrera GT. In addition, the air intakes on the sides were enlarged and fitted with striking horizontal slats in metallic silver. The wheel arches were also enlarged, allowing for wheels up to 19 inches in diameter — a first for the Boxster.
The interior was given a more modern look with a more pronounced circular design, evident in features such as the instrument panel and the air vents. According to Porsche, around 80% of the components were updated compared to the previous generation, which significantly improved the 987’s technical specifications. In terms of powertrain, the standard Boxster featured a 2.7-litre six-cylinder boxer engine producing around 236 hp. The more powerful Boxster S was fitted with a 3.2-litre engine producing around 276 hp. For the 2007 model year, the base version was further enhanced with the VarioCam Plus variable valve timing system, resulting in a slight increase in power to around 245 hp.
The Porsche 987 is known as a significant evolution within the Boxster range, with the model taking a clear step forward in terms of both performance and quality, whilst retaining the character of a lightweight, balanced roadster.
